Game Server Hosting Guide

GameTracker.ro does not provide a direct server checkout yet, but this page helps players and communities prepare before ordering a game server from a hosting provider. A good server listing starts before the server is added to GameTracker: stable hosting, correct ports, a clear hostname, and consistent uptime all matter.

What to check before ordering a game server

  • Location and latency: choose a datacenter close to your players. Romanian and European communities usually perform best with low-latency EU locations.
  • Game support: confirm that the provider supports your game, mod, and query protocol. This is important for Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike 2, Rust, Minecraft, TeamSpeak, Discord communities, and other supported games.
  • Slots and resources: match CPU, RAM, tickrate, slots, plugins, and maps to the real size of your community.
  • DDoS protection: public game servers are frequent targets, so network protection and fast support are important.
  • Access and backups: prefer providers that give clear control panel access, logs, backups, and easy configuration for maps, mods, and server variables.

After the server is online

Add the server to GameTracker.ro so players can find it by game, country, map, rank, player count, and status. A complete listing can include:

  • live hostname, IP, port, and query status
  • public server description
  • game and mod/category
  • country and current map
  • server banners and widgets
  • ranking and player snapshot history when available

Add your server to GameTracker.ro

Claim and manage your server

After your server is listed, claim manager access from the server manager page. Claimed servers are checked on the priority 5 minute scan interval and managers can update public details, control alerts, and reply to comments or reviews with a manager badge.

Improve visibility

For better visibility in server lists and search engines, keep the server online, use a recognizable hostname, write a useful description, avoid fake players or redirects, and keep the game/mod/category accurate. Stable servers with clear information are easier for players to trust and revisit.
